Rock Faces will showcase the work of a dozen of the world’s foremost music photographers in one volume, published to the highest standards of print and design by specialist photography house RotoVision.

The twelve featured photographers are: Danny Clinch, Kevin Cummins, Ian Dickson, Henry Diltz, Jill Furmanovsky, Claude Gassian, Bob Gruen, Steve Gullick, Gered Mankowitz, Michael Putland, Mick Rock, and Kevin Westenberg.

Over the past four decades rock'n'roll photography has emerged as a major field of photography in its own right, and the work of leading practitioners is highly sought after.

Most books featuring rock photography focus on one artist or the images of just one photographer. Rock Faces presents the portfolios of twelve photographers, with a chapter allocated per contributor, each of whom has also provided an interview for the book. This format allows each to display and discuss the range of his or her images and subjects, from iconic pictures to unpublished gems, including live shots, candids, record covers, out-takes, studio-session or on-location images.

From Hendrix to Nirvana... from the Stones to Radiohead... from the Clash to the Chemical Brothers... The subjects featured will include most of the best-known artists from North America and the British Isles, historically the main breeding grounds of rock’n’roll musicians, but also reflects the field’s international heritage (from Bob Marley to Bjork), which is more influential than ever today.

The 35,000-word text by Oliver Craske includes a chapter on each photographer, as well as an introductory essay entitled 'Forever Young'.
